Washington DC Tour
Sophomores and Juniors are eligible to attend the Youth Tour to Washington D.C. held annually in June. This national event brings students together from all over Ohio to travel together to meet their peers in D.C. Every student who goes comes back raving about the experience. This is not your average school field trip! Tour participant must be the son, daughter or legal ward of an Ohio Rural electric distribution cooperative member or renter living on URE lines at the time of the tour.

Scholarships
High School Seniors from URE member households are eligible to compete in one of two one-year scholarship contests. The Traditional Scholarship focuses on academic achievement but also considers contributions made to community and school activities. The other scholarship is the Touchstone Energy Special Achievement Scholarship which honors a high school student who has overcome obstacles and displayed the qualities of accountability, integrity, innovation and commitment to community.
