Guidelines for Sponsorship & Donation
Cooperatives are founded on 7 cooperative principles, one of which is Concern for Community. Union Rural Electric (URE) is dedicated to the communities we serve, and one of the ways we show our commitment to our communities is by sponsoring events and donating to local organizations.
URE has an online form available if your organization would like to request financial support for a cause. Visit the Request for Donation and Sponsorship page to apply.
For the best opportunity to have your request considered, please submit all information, including uploading your sponsorship levels, ad requirements, and any other information, at least one month in advance of your need to receive funding.
A number of factors are considered when determining funding levels. URE prioritizes projects that contribute to the mission of promoting quality of life in Union County and benefit a group of Union County residents rather than an individual. Those presenting unique benefits not created by others or by URE itself are valued, as well as those that promote the core values of Touchstone Energy: integrity, accountability, innovation, and community.
Please note that due to the number of requests received from non-school youth athletics teams, URE must limit those sponsorships and will sponsor athletic teams that are coached by employees.
