Youth Tour is “An Amazing Experience”

Every year, Union Rural Electric (URE) promotes the opportunity of Youth Tour to area students. We state that the Washington, D.C., trip, taken with other students from families served by electric cooperatives, is a life-changing experience. But don’t take our word for it! Grace Zahn, our 2023 URE Youth Tour representative, recently returned from Youth Tour and here is her review of the trip:

“The Youth Tour was such an amazing experience. I made so many friendships within the week. I loved being able to see the monuments at night and touring through the multiple museums we went to, including the Air and Space Museum, National Archives, and American and natural history museums.

“It was really interesting to see all the architecture within each of the buildings and the mosaics inside of the Library of Congress were unbelievable.

“Additionally, we got to talk to congressmen and further understand our nation’s government. Seeing places like Arlington Cemetery, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the Holocaust Museum was incredible and gave me a more heartfelt love for our country.”

“I’ve got nothing but good things to say about this trip, and I would recommend it to anyone who shows interest. Thank you so much for sending me!”
