Features
  • Water heaters must be an electric heater for original installation (in new construction) or that replaces an existing water heater.
  • The water heater must be a new electric storage tank unit that is greater than 90% efficient (greater than 0.90 EF).
  • Heat pump water heaters must be a new unit with a storage volume of 55 gallons or less.
  • The water heater shall comply with all applicable local and Ohio plumbing and electrical code requirements.
  • Maximum 2 rebates per residential member home.
  • This rebate is available only to members with URE supplied electric service.
  • On-demand water heaters are not applicable.

ALL WORK MUST BE DONE BY A LICENSED CONTRACTOR.

You will need to provide the Member Services Representative with the following:

  • Manufacturer
  • Tank size (in gallons)
  • Copy of the product purchased receipt – bring in or email URE
  • Type of system that was replaced: Propane/Natural Gas/Fuel Oil/Other/New Home
